THE BAND
Tarzan & the Beachwaiters play surfpunk and alternative rock with sand in their strings and saltwater running through their veins.
What started as a few lifeguards meeting on the Zeeland coast turned into a band that turns every gig into a glorious beach riot.
Since 2019 they've been dragging their noise from coast to club, with live shows that smell like beer, sweat and electrical smoke. Expect chaos, inflatable animals, guitar mayhem and a night you definitely won't remember quietly.
Their debut album Wack Lines, Salty Dreads & Thanks for All the Stitches is packed with gritty surf punk and high-voltage riffs, featuring tracks like Surf Punx, Heavy Metal Trashcan, Tarzan From the Sea, Mr. Dynamitri and I Know CPR.
In 2025, the band represents Zeeland at the Regio Songfestival with their single Buitenbenen. A surf punk manifesto against everything clean, polite and predictable.
They've already blasted through Vestrock, Klomppop, and were featured on radio 3FM with a protest song they nearly got banned for.
Their motto?
More noise, more jokes, fewer rules!

Sebastiaan 'Tarzan' Akkerdaas
Singer, guitarist and walking adrenaline rush. Half Tarzan of the jungle, half carpenter. Forgets half of what he says, and says the rest too loud. Plays like a hurricane with a guitar and sings like he's trying to shout down the North Sea.
Niels 'Demolition Man' Poppe
Bassist, producer and creative crash pilot. Thinks faster than Google, drives his car into trouble with style and turns chaos into gold. With his own recording studio and record label, he lifts bands to new heights, though his system tends to crash when there's an audience in the restroom.
Dmitri 'Mr Dynamitri' van Hoof
Drummer, impulsive wrecking ball and certified chaos feeder. Rarely listens, talks too much and plays like he's in a fistfight with his drum kit. Makes up more nicknames than songs, most of them unfit for radio. Changes diapers while surfing through the waves.
Brammein 'King of Dust' Poppe
Invisible special FX wizard, confetti king and walking pun machine. Collects celebrity handshakes but regularly forgets where he left his own. Combines perfectionism with the temperament of a smoke machine, making every show literally blow up.
